Ordering Chaos
We make sense of where you are so you can decide where to go.
For organizations that know cybersecurity is a problem, but aren't sure what the problem actually is.
Most companies reach a moment where cybersecurity stops being something they can defer. A near-miss. A board conversation. A customer question they couldn't answer. A news story that hit a little too close to home. You know that something needs to happen. But where do you even start?
That's exactly what Ordering Chaos is for.
We come into your organization, talk to your people, map what exists, and figure out what actually matters. No assumptions. No preloaded frameworks we're trying to sell you on. We ask the right questions, listen carefully, and build a picture of where you are and what needs to happen next tailored to make sense for your business, not just for cybersecurity.
The deliverable is whatever is most useful for your situation. Sometimes that's a prioritized roadmap document your leadership team can rally around. Sometimes it's a presentation to your board or investors. Sometimes it's both, or something different entirely. We scope the output at kickoff based on what you actually need.
If you've been putting off cybersecurity because you didn't know where to start, this is the answer to that problem.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Companies without a formal cybersecurity program who know they need one.
New CISOs or IT leaders inheriting an environment they haven't fully mapped.
Organizations that have had an incident and need to understand the full picture before rebuilding.
Any leadership team that wants to understand their risk before making investment decisions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We begin with a kickoff conversation to understand your business, your concerns, and what a useful outcome looks like for you. From there, we conduct structured interviews with the people who know your environment best; IT leads, operations, sometimes finance or legal depending on what we uncover. We map what exists, identify what matters most, and prioritize the rest. Typical engagement runs two to four weeks depending on company size and complexity.
